Judges Tim Cheatham and Glenn Feldman had it 116-112 and Dave Moretti 117-111 in favor of the Pacman.

Pacquiao, (61-7-2, 39 KOs) doesn't have much of a problem handling the man who calls himself "The Problem." He was able to land the cleaner shots and hurt Broner on two occasions. The fighting senator hurt Broner in the 7th and 9th Rounds.

Broner, (33-4-1, 24 KOs) on the other hand doesn't want to risk so much as he contended to focus more on defense. He tried to fend off Pacquiao's attacks and threw less output landing very few of them.

The funny thing is that Broner was so confident that he won the fight.

"I beat him," Broner said with full confidence. "Everybody out there knows I beat him. I controlled the fight. He was missing. I hit him clean more times. I beat him."

Pacquiao, with the win, could be in a potential rematch with rival Floyd Mayweather Jr. although there's no immediate word coming from Floyd who was present at ringside during the fight indicating a rematch.

Well, it's not the right time I believe to say such things though. Of course, they have to listen and feel if there's boxing fans' interest in a rematch at this point.

Broner (33-3-1, 24 KOs) stepped on the scale first and registered at 146.5 pounds, he looked strong, in good shape, and ready to go tonight at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas.

Pacquiao (60-7-2, 39 KOs) stepped on the scale and registered, (as always below the welterweight limit) 146 pounds. He looked in tip-top shape and ready to rumble.

When Adrien Broner (29-1, 22 KO's) lost to Marcos Maidana in December last year, most boxing experts has the same opinion. Broner needed to go back down at 140 pound division.

But Broner's initial decision was to pursue a rematch with Maidana. But the rematch did not materialize because Floyd Mayweather Jr. chose Maidana as his opponent last May 2013.

Broner heeded to the popular opinion and moved back down to the light welterweight division. It was a wise decision.

He fought Carlos Molina in the undercard of Mayweather-Maidana I. And he won.

Broner first fight at welterweight was in June 2013, against light-fisted Paulie Malignaggi. It is a fight many believed Malignaggi won.

When Broner fought Maidana, a legit welter, he got no power to hang in there without visiting the canvas.

Maidana floored Broner twice. Broner was not able to carry his own power too, at the welterweight division. Broner do not belong yet, in the welterweight division.

On Saturday night, the 25 year old Broner fought for the second time as a light welter at his hometown in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Although I'm not that impressed with his showing, it was a convincing victory for Broner since moving up from lightweights.

He punctuated the somewhat close fight, when he scored a knockdown, few seconds left in the fight. I've got the fight a draw, if Broner didn't score the late knockdown. Broner won via scores of 116-111 twice and 115-112.

Before the fight, many believed Broner will win against Taylor easily. But the massive underdog from Maryland gave everything to win the fight.

Inspired by Maidana's game plan, Taylor (18-3, 12 KO's) started strong in the early rounds. He was able to pin Broner towards the ropes and unloads overhand right upstairs and left hand to the body.

But later in the fight, as Taylor energy tapered, Broner was able to tag Taylor with hooks behind the gloves. In Round 12, Broner ultimately scored that defining knockdown that sealed his victory.

After the fight, Broner called out Lucas Matthysse.

Matthysse won a controversial second round stoppage against formerly unbeaten Roberto Ortiz.

I came from the bottom so I know what it feels like to be there. We're still pushing to get back to the top. I said my next fight should be Matthysse and he can get it. If it was up to me I'd fight him with this cut on my head tonight."

But Lucas Mathysse has another fighter in mind. After his fight he called out Danny Garcia.

Who do you want Broner fight next if Matthysse is not available?

Update: The "homeless guy" that Adrien Broner gave away $1000 to him, was robbed and beaten on the same night. In a video interview from worldstar hip hop  with the same guy, he said that he was robbed and beaten. The guy is wearing a big black eye.

Broner's "act of kindness"---if not recorded on cam and uploaded online---could have made a little difference for the poor guy's life. But that $1000 made him more miserable now. Money no-more and a black eye is what he got. I feel guilty also for posting that video here. It might be that the guy who robbed him might have seen the video here in this tiny blog---who knows?---this made me a feel guilty.

I hope Broner felt the way I do for this guy and do something without recording and uploading a video online.

After the WBC suspended Adrien "The Problem" Broner for a somewhat racist comment he made after defeating Carlos Molina during the undercard of Mayweather-Maidana on May 3 in Las Vegas; Broner did some "good boy" publicity act on cam, giving away $1000 to a "homeless" guy. I can say it's a publicity because why they record it. To somehow ease up the bad boy persona Broner use to portray in boxing.

In the video uploaded by a YouTube channel named Adrien Broner, you can see him giving the amount to a guy. The guy was extremely surprise and he can't convince himself whether Broner was just joking.

On Saturday night at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas, Nevada Showtime's boxing card dubbed "The Moment" delivered the result that most of us expected: Floyd Mayweather Jr., Amir Khan and Adrien Broner won against their respective opponents. But all three fights didn't play-out the way they were predicted, although results came out as expected.

Many predicted that Maidana is "easy work" for the best boxer of the game. But Floyd Mayweather (46-0, 26 KO's) age 37, was in a hell of a fight against Maidana. And it's a close fight. Really close fight. There's talk of rematch right after the fight. Marcos Maidana (35-4, 31 KO's) not just won one round baby... he bullied (actually it looked like he kick Floyd's ass in the first four rounds) Mayweather, and he swept the first four rounds of the fight and won another one or two in the second half. I had Maidana winning five rounds though. The score 117-111 by Burt Clements doesn't make sense to me. And who says Floyd is a boring fighter? That depends on his opponent. I hope he keeps on picking a fighter like Maidana who keeps coming forward. That showcased how brilliant and tough Floyd Mayweather is. Let's say Pacquiao next. Hehehehe…I'm just day dreaming though -- just like many of you guys.

On the other hand, Amir "King" Khan (29-3, KO 19) was expected to be in a tough fight against Luis Collazo. But the Collazo (35-6, 18 KO's) that knockout a bigger Victor Ortiz, in just two rounds, never showed up against Khan. Not even flashes of him. And the predicted tough fight for Khan became a walk in the park. The word "easy work" is not for Mayweather this time -- instead it is for Khan. Khan was blistering Collazo with lightning fast combinations. Khan finished the fight strong. He dropped Collazo several times. He's stronger at 147. Though, I still doubt his chin. Collazo didn't touch that area clean. Can Khan will be next for Floyd?

All eyes wide open for Adrien Broner? Maybe yes -- in the first half of the fight. Many expected Adrein "The Problem" Broner (28-1, 22 KO's) to win via knockout against 17 months inactive Carlos Molina. Honestly, without taking anything away from Carlos Molina (17-2-1, 7 KO's) -- he was put there for the cocky Broner of Cincinnati to look good. For Broner to get a sure win impressively. And for Broner to picked-up where he left prior to Maidana fight. But instead, Broner was content to be like his "big brother" fighting style. Stick and move, Counter-punching. It's okay to do that. But I believe he can do more than that, to make the fight more exciting. He can knockout Molina if he wanted to. At the scale of ten, being 10 is the highest, how do you rate his performance? Is he really fly, fresh and flashy last Satruday night or simply "The Problem" -- attitude problem?

It is very interesting to see how the former undefeated three-division champion Adrien "The Problem" Broner (27-1, 22 KO's) performs against 17 months inactive Carlos Molina. Both men were coming off from their respective defeats in their previous fights. And they're hoping to get back in the winning column in the expense of each other. That motivation alone makes this fight extremely interesting.

But all eyes will be wide open on Adrien Broner. Critics and fans will pay attention to this guy if he can really get back where he was prior to the Maidana fight (fresh, fly and flashy). Broner, Prior to Maidana fight, has been perceived or shall I say being hyped to be the "heir apparent" of boxing's pound-for-pound best Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Well, we can't deny the fact, that Broner has the potential to be the future's boxing best because this kid have the talent and skills to bring to the table against any fighter in his "ideal" fighting weight. He has also the character that he successfully portrayed:  just like Floyd -- playing the role as villain in boxing. His cocky character worked like charm because he catches a lot of attention.

Character/charisma and talent are the key ingredients that Broner already have to become the sport's future main draw. But, what is in question is his dedication and discipline. Boxing above any other sport needs enormous discipline and dedication. Without these key values: a boxer can't hang on any longer, in this sport, than he could imagine.

An evidence that I can say why Broner lacks discipline; is that he ballooned in between fights. And because of that he thought that it's easy to jump to welterweight from lightweight (or just tired making the lightweight limit , which I think he can still make if he don't put on too much weight in between fights). Well, it looks easy though as he managed to win the welterweight belt from light-hitting champion Paulie Malignaggi. But not against real welters that hit hard. Maidana showed him how a real welter connects.

Now in this fight Broner will move back down to 140 pounds, which is the advice of most boxing analysts. He will debut at light welterweight against Molina.

Carlos Molina (17-1-1, 7 KO's) has been undefeated for 17 fights before Amir Khan, who will be seen in action also of the same Showtime card, retired him in round 10. Since then Molina has been away from fighting inside the ring. I think his major problem against Broner on fight night will be ring rust. He's been away for 17 months.

Molina is a massive underdog of this fight. It looks like he's been thrown to this fight to make Broner secure a sure win -- because he (Broner) badly needs a win. Molina was lightly regarded and was get noticed when he fought Khan. But Khan (who badly needs also a win on that fight) overwhelmed him with superior hand-speed. Molina for sure will always come forward to press for a win. He's also tough and rugged opponent that may test Broner's composure at some point.

My Pick:

Molina has got nothing to do more or less, to let Broner's critics upload tons of Broner memes -- with hands hanging on the ropes after suffering a knockdown, and then Rey Mysterio will execute his signature move.
Molina's problem would be ring rust. And as he adjusts during the fight Broner will be racking up points on the scorecards. Although, I love upsets, but I don't see on this fight. Broner will be back being the same "fresh, fly and flashy, rich and famous young man" (these are Broner's words) in this fight to the tune of unanimous decision.

From today until fight night, I'll be posting as much as I can, updates for Showtime's May 3 boxing event: the fight between boxing pound-for-pound kingpin and undefeated American boxer that calls himself "TBE" or The Best Ever, and that's Floyd "Money" Mayweather Jr. (45-0, 26 KO's) and Argentinean hard hitting Marcos "El Chino" Maidana (35-3, 31 KO's). And of course I'll be posting also the recent happenings of Mayweather-Maidana exciting under-cards; the highly disappointed (for not landing the Mayweather fight) but now extremely motivated fighter from Bolton, England Amir "King" Khan (28-3, 19 KO's) against the dangerous Luis Collazo (35-5, 18 KO's) of New York. And whew... I'll be posting updates too on the fight wherein everybody will be eyes-wide-open; for former undefeated three-division champion Adrien "The Problem" Broner (27-1, 22 KO's) fighting Carlos Molina (17-1-1, 7 KO's).
