Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero (32-2-1, 18 KO) showed the boxing fans what it means to have "Guerrero" as surname. Guerrero in Spanish means warrior. Robert is indeed a warrior on that night at the StubHub Center in Carson, California. He fought his war against tough... tough opponent Yoshihiro Kamegai (24-2-1, 21 KO) of Japan. Guerrero showcased his extreme toughness as a warrior. He engaged Kamegai the kind of fight that Kamegai wanted. Toe-to-toe. Hit-me-I'll-hit-you-back. Boxing observers believed that this fight is a "Fight of the Year" candidate.

It is a fight that according to Scott Christ of BLH that don't need a "22-foot" ring but instead a "12-foot" ring would be enough. Exactly, because Guerrero and Kamegai had their head planted against each other and threw bombs after bombs. Guerrero is making the most out of every exchanges as he tended to change angles and feint Kamegai's punches. While Kamegai is willing to absorb everything that Guerrero thrown.

The statistics were amazing. I don't know how both men remained standing after 89% of punches landed were power shots. Maybe their power shots were not that hard or it's just that they are tough? I doubt. Power shot is power shot. I think this is a result of tremendous training.

Following Guerrero's win, his name are among those that float in every discussion about Pacquiao next fight. Boxing observers believed that this is sure fireworks. Pacquiao is slated to return in action in November, probably in Venetian Casino & Resort in Macau, China, with still yet to determine opponent.

GILROY, Calif. (June 4, 2014) - The CrossFit nation is introducing its latest athlete, six-time and four-division world champion boxer Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero (31-2-1, 18 KOs), who is returning to the ring on June 21at StubHub Center in Carson, Calif. against Yoshihiro Kamegai(24-1-1, 21 KOs), and on display will be a physique molded by intense CrossFit training.  The event will be televised live on SHOWTIME^®  (10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT).
