Hornets stops Jeremy Lin and the New York Knicks winning streak, 89-85

Jeremy Lin unable to carry his team towards another victory for the New York Knicks that started to cast doubt about him. So much for the hype, to some that keep on saying that he is the MVP etc. But this assumption is too early to say as he had played only several games.

Even Michael Jordan himself needs Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman to bring Chicago Bulls into several championships. Let Lin play along with Anthony Carmelo and let’s see the difference.

The playoff is still too far to anticipate its outcome. Now we must be contend to follow on what Jeremy Lin is up to against the defending champion Dirk and the rest of Dallas Mavs. It is also exciting to watch Chandler play against the Mavs with the young hero of Knicks in Lin, and that will be on 19 February at 100 ET.

I believed Jeremy Lin and the rest of the team will rebound from these loss as I quote Lin saying "I don't think this is good because I hate losing."I cant wait to watch this match to happen and I hope Carmelo is healthy enough to play.

Lin who scored 26 points for the Knicks, is trailing the Hornets for the entire game. New Orleans once has the worst record of the NBA had their starter double-digits led by Trevor Ariza's 25. Greivis Vasquez added 15 points and 11 assists.

Amar'e Stoudemire added 26 points and 12 boards for his losing effort for the Knicks.

Are you not Lin-tertained? Jeremy Lin Continued New York Knick's Winning Streak.

Jeremy Lin continues his astounding performance against Sacramento Kings. Lin lead Knicks in their seventh straight victories with career high 13 assists.

While watching the highlights of the game in NBA site, it was so entertaining to watch how the Harvard graduate play and get the whole team as a recipient of 13 assists.

The play that lifts me up upon my sit was that when he tries to penetrate, unable to see an opening, decided not to lay up, unable to dish out a pass, continue dribbling the ball from underneath the basket going out to the shaded area and again penetrate back and lays the ball in without a problem.

One thing I love about Jeremy Lin is that he does it just like that, as easy as that, no fancy moves just right straight to the hoop and score.

Most of the time it is Chandler who get an assist coming from Jeremy Lin. Chandler keep on slamming the ball after receiving passes from Lin underneath the basket.

It is obvious that Sacramento’s defense focus a little bit to Lin, as he was the leading his team to straight victories.

Jeremy Lin create stir early this month that the fans give him a lot of moniker.

1 Lin-Sanity

2 Lin-Possible

3 Lin-Sane

4 Li-tastic

5 In Filipino Lin-Tik

Jeremy also gets comment from superstars from different sports;

1 Kobe Bryant, LA Lakers star; “What the fudge is going on?”

2 Floyd Mayweather, boxing superstar on twitter; “Jeremy Lin is a good player but all the hype is because he’s Asian. Black players do what he does every night and don’t get the same praise.”

On the other hand United COE, unable to formulate an effective defense against the perimeter shootout of Nasser Sports spearheaded by Edward Gueco distributing the ball evenly towards his team mates, forcing Paul Mallari – two fouls in the first canto. Fresh from the time out COE pull a rally that close the gap before the final buzzer of the first quarter.

In the second quarter, Nasser Sport continued to take the lead leaving United COE single digit deficit – finishing it strong towards the end of the quarter. COE had the ball 15 seconds before the buzzer, committed back to back turn over that Nasser Sports converted as the first half buzzer sounded.

Tough defense has been implemented by both squads; it is a battle of free throws, sending Romy Navarro in the foul line – converting almost every opportunity and Edward Gueco in the other end.

Before the start of the second half United COE talk things over and decided a tight 1-3-1 zone defense that is quiet effective – neutralizing the perimeter shooter of the sports apparel leader.

Third quarter has been a roller coaster for both teams who tried to establish a clear advantage against each other however, it is still Nasser Sports who’s taking the driver seat.

United COE turn the tide as Ramil Cadano tries to control the boards for COE, neutralizing second chance points for Nasser.

A lot more drama and emotions pouring in the middle of the third quarter, wherein both teams penalized for technical fouls – Romy Navarro perfect from the foul line converted four points that cut down the lead of Nasser into single ball possession and eventually take the lead in the end of the third quarter with ten points advantage.

In the fourth, United COE continued their tight zone defense – taking the lead. As a counter, Nasser Sports tried a trapping defense in the transition and was only broken down by United COE.

COE who anticipated trapping and pressure in the inbound executed a perfect counter against it, forming a single line in the inbound and passing the ball towards a running forward; either Romy Navarro or Paul Mallari as the recipient creating a mismatch against a defending guard from Nasser that is left with no choice but to foul.
