PBConSpike result: Easter Jr. stops Mendez in Round 5

In the second fight of the night, Robert Easter Jr. (17-0, 14 KOs) delivered his promise to knockout Algenis Mendez (23-4-1, 12 KOs) on thier matchup on PBConSpike Friday night.

Both fighter started slow in round 5. The fight picked-up pace in rounds 2 and 3, where Easter's long reach took advantage. Easter was able to tag Mendez with good uppercuts. But round 3 was a clear round for Mendez as he connected several clean shots to the head and body of Easter Jr.

But in round 4, the fight became head to head, with Easter Jr. landed more frequently with overhand right and uppercut. He tagged Mendez with a hard right, and Mendez looked hurt going back to his corner.

In round 5, Easter Jr. landed a cracking right hand while Mendez's back was against the ropes. Mendez went down. The referee waive the fight off. Official time of the stoppage 2:43 in round 5.
