PhilBack Inter-company division: United COE qualifies Championship

United COE against Al Ghanim during their semi-final match

After a grueling twelve games of hard fought battles from the eliminations all the way to the semi-finals, United COE captured a berth for the finals against the league leader Al Nasser sports of PhilBacks Inter-company division 7th season.

Before capturing the spot in the finals; United COE finished an 8-2 win loss card and enjoyed a twice to beat advantage in the quarterfinals. United COE was pitted against KASCO in the quarter-final. United COE disposed KASCO via a comfortable margin and avenged their earlier loss against this team in the elimination.

The rest of the quarter-final teams are up against each other in the below match-up.

Results of the above match-up was like the same order of the ranking wherein top one to four qualified after demolishing the teams from rank number five to eight.

In the semis United COE defeated Al Ghanim, in an equally exciting game during their first match-up in the elimination, this time with only two points. Both teams showed tremendous defense which is evident after a total of five players were fouled out; four key players from Al Ghanim and one from COE.

Fouled out players from Al Ghanim really hurt the team during the final crunch in the dying minutes wherein COE is up only by two points. Al Ghanim playing without De leon and Topher succumbed to their second defeat to COE.

Meanwhile HEISCO came out short in their campaign to qualify in the finals after beaten by Nasser Sports.

Championship Game is expected to be played on 10th February 2012 in Reggai and for more details find PhilBack’s facebook page.

Forget about Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao vs Floyd "Money" Mayweather: Three dream matchup that guaranteed fireworks

Boxing was overshadowed by the drama of a fight that everyone is itching to watch. If you are going to look into it, as if there is no other exciting match-up inside boxing.

As much as we love this fight to materialize, but we must not forget that there are equally more exciting yet not hyped match-up or no one imagine that it will happen but is very exciting to think. It is not only Manny Pacquiao or Floyd Mayweather who has the ability to excite fans and can put back their money's worth.

Here are my below dream match-up that might create fireworks and action from start till end.

Chad Dawson 30-1-0 (17 KOs) vs Sergio Martinez 48-2-2 (27 KOs) - Though Martinez would like to fight either Pacquaio and Mayweather he deserves to fight worthy opponent like Dawson who has the skill and ability to bring out each one best.

Kazuto Ioka  9-0-0 (6 KOs) vs Denver Cuello 29-4-6 (19 KOs) - A fight between this two fast and ferocious fighter is sure bomb shelling. Both young and have a surging forward style that will only stop until only one man standing.

Humberto Sotto 57-7-2 (34 KOs) vs Brandon Rios 29-0-1 (22 KOs) -This match up must be action packed from the beginning towards the end as Rios never back-down style will entice Sotto to trade punch by punch.

Manny answered before;

  • I will take NSAC drug test 14 days before the fight.

Money said now;

Batman and Robin of Boxing: Pacman and the Filipino Flash

A lot of aspiring and up and coming boxer who dream to be on the pacman status right now. But it is not easy to become where pacman in the place of boxing. This is because pacman is considered as the batman of boxing.

But who is Robin?

In my own opinion that is no other than the “Filipino Flash” Nonito Donaire. Right now there is no other Filipino boxer that may close to Manny in terms of popularity and achievement.

However, what makes a hero a hero is the villain.

Now, who is the perfect villain for you? :)
